If you will recall, two posts back, I mentioned using the pulp leftover from juicing – for muffins! The actual recipe calls for the entire onion – juice and pulp – and is a fine example of using a flavorful, yet unusual, natural sweetener. The recipe is nestled amongst other GAPS-friendly eating choices, along with much valuable family-life info.
By the way, I am not speaking of an onion variety specially developed to be sweet. There is an element of sweetness even in the most common of onions such as this one. This explains, without being overly wordy.
